PRINCIPALS OF TEACHING

Because managing keeps operations running—but teaching transforms how people perform.

Welcome to Principals of Teaching™

Principals of Teaching™ is an executive leadership framework designed for founders, executives, HR leaders, and educational visionaries.

We redefine the traditional role of a "Principal" by blending executive authority with the transformative philosophies of teaching.

  1. The Principal is the Master Teacher

  2. Set and Socialize Habits for Performance

  3. Establish Systems for Safe Learning and Growth

  4. Balance Authority with Healthy Human Connections

  5. Prioritize Curious Conversations and Collaborative Action

  6. Model Engaging Feedback Loops

The 6 Core Beliefs focus heavily on the human inputs such as  safety, connection, feedback, and curiosity.

What started the Principals of Teaching™ ?

After years of coaching, consulting, and hiring leaders from across industries, it became clear that the role of the Principal is more than management.

Whether in business or education, the role of the Principal has become a "Jack of all trades" position with high levels of burnout and attrition.

Broadening the definition of a Principal, we address all leaders across business, human resources, and education who lead people and learning with clear identifiers.

  • The expert in the field

  • The agent of change

  • The primary contributor

  • The owner of the highest tier

We seek to reclaim that status.

The Principals of Teaching is a people-focused leadership approach that integrates six authentic beliefs, empowering leaders to more effectively foster cultures of expertise through profound learning and development.

How do the Principals of Teaching align
with business and education?

  • Accountability & Strategic Ownership: A Principal has a stake in the long-term health of the business; so does an educational administrator. The 6 Core Beliefs move leadership away from short-term transactional task management toward long-term organizational stewardship.

  • Developing Human Capital: A Principal is evaluated not just on KPIs and results, but on their ability to build and retain high-performing teams. Teaching, feedback loops, and curiosity are the exact mechanisms required to scale talent.

  • Navigating Complexity: A Principal may rely solely on technical authority ("Content Mastery") or management skills. The framework’s emphasis on balancing expertise with "Human Connection" and "Safety" directly addresses why modern executive leadership fails or succeeds.
